Connecting Snapchat to Naasher before publishing approval

An explicit account of what Snapchat connection supports today, why public publishing remains disabled pending Public Profile API approval, and how to prepare safely.

Integration status first: Snapchat identity can connect through Login Kit, but production Story or Public Profile publishing is not generally enabled. Snap keeps the Public Profile API behind partner allowlisting.

Snap's official setup guide says an OAuth client must be allowlisted through a Snap contact and explicitly warns partners not to send the client secret. Naasher therefore rejects publishing jobs rather than accepting schedules that cannot complete.

What works now

  • Official Snapchat login.
  • Reading the granted display name, Bitmoji, and external identifier.
  • Storing, refreshing, and revoking the connection.
  • Preparing internal drafts without claiming that they were published.

Content management and analytics are described in the Public Profile API overview, but production access depends on approval.

Prepare without creating a fake workflow

Use a company-owned Business Account and Public Profile, establish stable admin roles, and keep a Snap contact. Prepare Story media and an approval checklist, but publish manually until the connection status explicitly says publishing is available. Do not build performance reports from data that the API cannot yet supply.

For currently available Story workflows, see Instagram. For short-form video, review the TikTok guide and its app-audit requirements.

Frequently asked questions

Can Naasher publish Snapchat Stories in production today?
Not yet. Login Kit connection works, but Story and Public Profile publishing remain disabled until Snap allowlists Naasher for the Public Profile API.
Why list Snapchat if publishing is disabled?
The secure connection path exists and approved accounts will use it. Naasher exposes availability before scheduling so a connection is never misrepresented as publishing access.
Should I give Naasher my Snapchat password?
No. Authorization happens on Snapchat's own screen. Never share the account password or secret with a management tool.
